Previous research has confirmed that emotions have a stronger influence on decision-making in these situations than in predictable and certain situations. The role of emotions in economic decision-making has gained strong recognition – especially in the fields of experimental economics and behavioural finance. So far, only few studies have focused on this aspect in entrepreneurship research. To close this gap, our experiments will examine the impact of emotions on the recognition and exploitation of entrepreneurial opportunities. The results of these experiments will support entrepreneurs in recognizing and exploiting business opportunities.
