Financing Technology Entrepreneurship

The survival rate of technology-intensive start-ups is the lowest among new ventures in general. One key aspect in sustaining high-tech start-ups is the access to sufficient and appropriate financial resources. This research project sheds more light on the attecedents of financing decisions in technology start-ups and the implications for firm performance and survival. Differences between high- and low-tech entrepreneurs are analyzed. To achieve these research objectives, a comprehensive meta-analysis and analyses of German panel data will be conducted.
